Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Tesla referral code still work in November 2026?
Not for new cars in the U.S. Tesla says that as of October 30, 2026, purchases of new Tesla vehicles no longer earn buyer or referrer benefits. A referral link still works for Tesla Solar panels, and FSD (Supervised) referrals give a one-month trial.
Is there a Tesla promo code or discount code for a new car?
No. Tesla has no public promo or discount codes, and since the October 30, 2026 change a referral link does not reduce the price of a new car in the U.S. Look at inventory discounts, financing offers and federal or state incentives instead.
What does a referral link still get me?
If you have never owned a Tesla product and order Tesla Solar panels through a referral link, you get a buyer benefit as Tesla Credits. Tesla Credits can pay for Supercharging, Tesla Shop items, upgrades, service balances and more, but they are not cash.
Open Referral Link (Tesla Solar)How does the FSD (Supervised) referral work?
An owner who subscribes to or bought FSD (Supervised) sends a referral from the Tesla app. The eligible customer gets one month of FSD (Supervised) free; the owner earns a reward only if that customer subscribes during the trial.
Can I add a referral code after I ordered?
No. Tesla does not apply referral links after an order is placed.
I ordered a car with a referral link before October 30, 2026. Do I still get the benefit?
Benefits on orders placed before the change follow the terms that applied when you ordered. Check the Refer and Earn section of the Tesla app for its status.
