My vehicle: 2022 Lincoln Aviator. My phone: IPhone 15.The first charger I tried was a product that attaches to the vent but the Aviator has really small vents and while it was a great charger, it was obstructing the air flow from the vent as well as the access to the function buttons for the radio and other controls. I then purchased this one with hopes it would cure those issues.I ordered it during Prime Days so SCORE! As usual delivery was the next day. As I was heading on an 8 hour trip I wanted to install it immediately. I quickly realized that there is no actual flat surface in an Aviator. There are only appearances of flat surfaces as everything has curves and dips. So I decided I would try the windshield on the far left side as low as possible where I would still have complete horizontal and vertical movement of the phone on the perch and not be visually impaired while driving by its placement.Installation was a breeze. Thirty seconds at most. Remove the paper on the back of the mount, stick it to the windshield, hold for a minute or so, poof, done. I did not need to use the wipes as my windshield had just been cleaned at the carwash.The cord from the windshield to my charger did require me to use a little painter's tape (so it won't leave residue) to secure it to the underside of the dash so it wouldn't dangle down on the right side of the steering wheel.I adjust the height and depth for the best placement for me with the phone on it and immediately realized I could look at it without my eyes leaving the road as it did with the vent charger or placing it on the storage bin of the vehicle on my right. The location just required me to do a quick side eye left to see anything that popped up or to look at Googlemaps but my eyes remained level with the roadway. In addition, because it was essentially even with the top of my steering wheel on the far left of the vehicle's window, I had a completely unobstructed view while driving. This was most imperative during the drive back when it was nighttime and raining and visibility was already impaired. By not having to take my eyes off the road to look at the map or a ding from the phone was certainly safer not just for me but everyone on the road with me.The charging capacity is great. I let the magnet grab my phone as soon as I open my vehicle's door and as soon as I start it up the charge is working. I see by the green light on the side of the charger. I'm not an IT person so how fast compared to others or how many watts I cannot tell you but my phone is sufficiently charged as I need it. On short runs it charges and on long runs it charges. Therefore, it does what I bought it for and my phone hasn't run out of charge yet. I also charge it at home so I'm not just relying on the charger here.The magnet is very strong and even on a cobblestone road it did not jar loose. The only time it did was when my wonderful teenage doesn't-care-if-it-isn't-hers daughter put it on without connecting it correctly and it fell immediately. Oy! Lesson learned. When put on by a caring person who pays for things it holds the phone without fail, does not bounce around, is securely attached to my windshield, and charges.My only negative, and this may actually be a Lincoln or Appleplay issue, is that most of the times I cannot get it to play music or play out my Googlemaps turn-by-turn without some fiddling with the settings on both the radio app and the phone app. Again, I don't think this is the charging device's issue but I was taught one has to always put something to improve with all the positives so this would be it I guess.I would definitely purchase this charger again and in fact will likely purchase it for the passenger side of the vehicle (so my daughter can continue to drop her phone on the floor and learn how it is to either live without a phone when it breaks or how she has to get a job to pay for her new one). I had been searching and have tried several phone mounts. The ones on the vents never held, not to mention blocked the vent. I didn’t want something to stick and ruin my cars dashboard. I tried this and it worked great. I will say that on really hot days sometimes when I leave work the suction comes loose, but it’s easy to put right back and it holds great. I’ve had 2 of these for about a year and maybe they’ve lost at suction 4-5 times. Oh….and with the right case it charges my phone and the magnet holds the phone well. Would definitely buy again. I’m increasingly becoming a fan of ESR products. They make a solid product all around and the price is reasonable. Design isn’t the most important aspect to me, but ESR product design is simple and clean, and I really like that! As for the Qi2 charger, it’s great! Fast charging and little to no heat. The magnets are strong. And put simply…it works. I’m still not certain about the mount and particularly if it’s being used on a non-smooth surface. Having said that, when I first installed it, the grip surprised me and it had no problem holding the phone where I wanted it. Works awesome. I drive truck, and drive on rough roads often. Have never had the magnets drop phone, and suction has never once come undone. The sticky suction works so well, if you ever had to move it, you might as well remove the entire dash and install it all in the next vehicle. This thing STICKS! The brackets are solid. Phone doesn’t shake what so ever even on the roughest roads. I have it paired up with a 12v fast charge block. Seems to charge up decent. Can’t really comment on how fast things charge. My phone is usually charged to 100% all day from being on the mount most of my work day. Read more

I absolutely love how this is magsafe compatible and can upgrade from my clamp holders. The magnet is really strong which I was surprised about, very easily to install. But the charging is very weird, I have been having issues with the wireless charging not work after a short amount of time with the only fix being unplugging and replugging the cable back in, not sure if it is me but it is slightly annoying. I have had the car holder for less than 4 months and I couldn’t figure out why recently my cell would face down and not be able to stay at my adjusted eye level and not facing downward towards cup holders. Upon further inspection I see the knob is cracked. I will begin to see if I can get a replacement or how that’s going to work now. But just be aware many of these pieces are plastic and a crack like this can happen. I have not touched it since I installed it and no dog or children or anything ever bumped it or hit it. Important to know:-The build quality is fantastic-Easy to install-Strong magnet-Solid jointsI installed the mount on my dashboard. Took about 45 seconds (only because I pressed and held it down due to the 3M sticker). After that I drove 450km with my iPhone 15pro mounted the whole time and it was solid. The charging works great without overheating my phone which is a huge plus. The surprising benefit is that with the angle I have it on I can tilt it back and forth very easily to avoid sun glare! The mount is still solid and looks good on my dashboard.ESR also includes a little cable management strip so you can hide the cable if your car allows for it. Not sure why ESR is specifically marketing this mount to Tesla users because the mount itself is aesthetically pleasing and solidly built.My only recommendation to ESR is to switch to a suction cup option vs. a sticker for people who want to use it in more places. I would buy another if I could move it around my house with an easy way to afix it objects since I’m already confident the mount can hold my phone securely.TLDR: Worth the buy and looks great.
