Not a review writer but I had to pop on to submit one after traveling with this. We ordered a much more expensive brand prior to a long trip, but it wasn’t going to get delivered in time. We ordered this as a backup. This thing is AMAZING!We opted for the larger size. We fit two pack-and-plays, a stroller, and bags for a 7 day trip for 2 adults and 3 kids. This held everything and had room for more. We honestly could’ve gone for the smaller size but we’re happy to have this one to fit larger items for camping, etc. It fit great on top of our van, strapped secure to the roof rack bars, and I didn’t feel any drag or pull while driving. The zippers and straps are heavy duty and the velcro holds super tight. We went through a few rain storms and saw no signs of any leaks.We were so happy with this purchase that we cancelled our order for the $600 cargo carrier. Don’t hesitate to buy this! Read more

Easy to attach to the rooftop. Holds a lot of items for travel. Travels well and securely for hours. We have not traveled in the rain with it yet, so hopefully everything inside will stay dry when that happens. I cannot say enough good about this thing. Last minute purchase to add capacity with a TX to MA move. I put this through the test... shoving more inside than was reasonable. 3 drawer chest? 3 shopping bags of food, 1 regular suitcase, 1 giant oversized duffel (containing wardrobe of one human), bedding, pillows, dog toys... and on and on. Shockingly not only did the thing close but it didn't budge an inch in 2000+ miles. And despite the two rain storms and one snow shower... everything was dry. (We did not expect this based on manufacturers warning about the waterproof not lasting through extreme weather)The ONLY things I can say negatively is that a: it turns your car into a sail boat in wind (but anything messing to aerodynamics will) and b: it is a pain in the butt to put back in the bag (but that is likely user laziness)Win all around! Before purchasing, I compared this product with similar brands, and selected this brand based on cost. I neglected to notice this product does not come with clips that hook underneath the door weather stripping. Instead for a non cargo rack install, the straps actually go through both door openings and latch inside the vehicle. There are two issues with this style of mounting, first if it's raining, rain works its way along the strap, past the door seal and drips inside the car. Also depending on the shape of your car roof, and how much head room you have, the straps can interfere with the occupants. In their defense, they did not mis-represent the hardware, that was on me as I didn't catch that it doesn't come with clips. Also we did experience some rain on our trip and some water did make it's way into the carrier bag. The zippers were fully closed and the rain flap was secured over each zipper. So I don't know if the rain got in through a zipper, or through one of the sewn seams. The quality of the bag material was very good, and the straps were good quality. Very happy with this product and it definitely held quite a bit of our gear.It rained in excess of 4 hours one way and 2 hours back, with no evidence of leakage whatsoever.As it was hard to visualize during the initial product comparison, I'm glad I purchased the 20ft² carrier instead of the 15ft² (Go bigger.. always!)These units will definitely fit the roof of a Mini as well.. not that we used it on this rental.. just a good-to-know observation.Regardless of the fact we used a rental vehicle, a protective non-slip mat for the roof, under the unit is highly suggested.. as a just-in-case scenario.The zipper system and velcro flap that covers it seem solid.I did find it tricky to start either side's zippers when closing. So I'd highly recommend not to fully open zippers and stop about 8 inches before reaching the "fully" unzipped position. Following this advice will not impede storage in the least.I do have to mention that you will have to get creative with the included bag for the carrier, as after the initial unpacking.. you will NEVER get it folded as skillfully back in.As a side note, in the provided instruction manual, you are told that you should not put live pets into the carrier. Sage advice indeed. I'd also suggest that it is unsuitable for unalive pets as well. Read more

Wir haben uns lange überlegt welche Art von Dachbox für uns die richtige ist. Ob faltbar ich war zunächst skeptisch oder feste Box. Jedoch hat uns überzeugt, dass sie zum einen platzsparend aufzubewahren ist, das Volumen für unsere ZWecke wirklich ideal ist. Die Handhabung ist super einfach, auch beim 1. Mal aufbauen.Sehr gut finde ich wie simpel die Befestigung ist und dass ich keine Querträger benötige obwohl eine Reling vorhanden ist - das schont den Geldbeutel. Wir haben sie bei unserem Urlaub eingesetzt und waren wirklich erstaunt, dass es wirklich wasserfest ist - Regen hatten wir auf der Hinfahrt, dass nichts verrutscht sowohl die Box als auch Inhalt nicht, also war hier meine Befürchtung völlig unbegründet. Sie ist sehr leicht, was den Transport und den Aufbau wirklich erleichert.An unserem Urlaubsort konnten wir den Luxus geniessen die Dachbox vollständig wieder zusammenzubauen ,sodass wir sie für die zwei Wochen perfekt in der Tasche lagern konnten. Spart Sprit für den Urlaubsaufenthalt und man muss sich keine GEdanken machen ob die Dachhöhe ausreicht - bei einem SUV. Da wir Geocacher sind und eine Großfamilie wird diese Box uns definitiv öfter begleiten und die Ausflüge erleichtern.Fazit: Wir sind froh uns für diese Box entschieden zu haben.
